  1. Overview

    Ch15
Michael began to feel that he was internally betraying Hanna since he never disclosed his relationship with Hanna to anyone. Sophie and his friends knew that he routinely spent a large amount of time away from them. One day, while Sophie and Michael were sharing a private moment, she asked him what was wrong in his life. She wondered where he went, and why he spent so much time away. She suggested that it perhaps had something to do with his past illness. Michael said it did not have anything to do with his illness, but chose not to confide in Sophie.

    Ch16
Hanna continued to refuse Michael penetrating her life. When Michael asked more about her, she turned away his questions. In July, Michael noticed that Hanna became increasingly agitated and preoccupied. However, she still snapped at him. And, one day, Michael felt that the pressure was gone. She asked him to bathe with her. When they made love, he sensed that she wanted to push him to the point he never felt before. Since both of them felt wonderful, Hanna dismissed Michael. Afterwards he left her apartment and joined his friends at a public swimming pool. Hours later, while reclining at the side of the swimming pool, Michael looked up and saw Hanna, in the distance, staring at him. He didn’t know what to do. And in the briefest moment, Hanna was gone. That scene was another picture of her.

    Ch17
Next day, Michael returned to her apartment and found it locked up and uninhabited. And he found that she had quit her job. He kept looking for her, then, he stopped.
The days went by and Michael felt sick. He regretted why he didn’t run to her immediately. Michael missed her. He thought that her leaving is the punishment of his betrayal.

    Part2
    Ch1
Without Hanna's presence, Michael's life slowly returned to normal. About six months after Hanna vanished, Michael's family moved across the town. He had no difficulties in everything. He became apathetic. He adopted a posture of arrogant superiority. After Hanna left, Sophie was diagnosed with tuberculosis and left for therapy. Three years later, she went back. They slept together, and she realized that Michael didn’t have interest in her. All around Michael seemed a scene in a movie.
